Dr. Matthew McAlees is a certified doctor of natural medicine, doctor of chiropractic and holds an advanced training certificate in Pediatrics from the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics. He is currently finishing his Diplomate in Nutrition with the American Clinical Board of Nutrition. He has a passion to help people get healthy and love their life.
He has been a physician for many professional and Olympic athletes. In 2009, he began his work with Team USA where he worked closely with wrestlers, swimmers and weightlifters including Gold Medalists Cael Sanderson and Henry Cejudo. He traveled to the 2012 Games in London to work with many Team USA athletes as well. When not working with Olympic athletes, he was the lead performance doctor for the 2011 and 2012 Crossfit Games where he treated and gave council to 2011-2014 Crossfit Games Champion, Rich Froning, as well as many other Crossfit athletes.
In 2010, he started a health center in Charlotte, NC that quickly grew to become one of the most prominent health clinics in the North America. Dr. McAlees works with patients from all over the world. Shortly after moving to Charlotte, he was asked to be a health expert for NBC Charlotte and the Charlotte Today Show. He had the privilege of filming a behind the scenes series and interviews during the 2012 Olympic Games for the station. He has also taught for many corporate wellness programs including Belk, Target, Coca-Cola, Whole Foods, American Airlines, and the YMCA.
Dr. McAlees’ passion is making health easy to understand and teaching people how to apply it to their lives. He and his wife and their 3 children enjoy the water life that the local lakes provide. If they aren’t on the water, they are making healthy recipes at home.
